Road Trip Going nowhere - SOLOMANGO

Craig Howarth Fine Art Photogarpher - USA - UK - FRANCE
Great piece written about my american travel images:

"There’s a melancholy nostalgia about this series of photographs that harks back to more optimistic days; Photographer Craig Howarth’s focus on fading icons and logos reminds us of a sunnier time when the US’ love affair with the motor car was at its height, when the open road beckoned and when Elvis would be the soundtrack to our top down road trip. "

Thanks Solomango... CRAIG

Californian Timber - Kramer Junction

Californian Timber was also taken at Kramer Junction on our journey to find Bodie Ghost Town... I have edited this image to keep enough details in the shadow and then make all the highlights and colour as bright as possible so that the yellow and blues jump out from the rest of the image.

THIS CALIFORNIAN TRUCK LOOKS LIKE IT WAS LEFT HERE WITH ITS LOAD AND HAS BEEN LEFT UNTOUCHED FOR QUITE SOME TIME, ARE PEOPLE STILL AWAITING THE DELIVERY OR HAVE THEY FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE TIMBER.

Kramer junction - California - 395 Highway

Kramer Junction 2010, an amazing find. We were travelling up to Mammoth Lakes, CA, when we made an impromptu error in our directions and came across this grave yard for gas pumps and military vehicles. We ended up spending quite sometime shooting this location, which made us a late for a couple of other destinations but I hope you agree with me that it was worth it.

This is one of the images that hasn't made it into my main selection for my Kramer Junction exhibition, i still love the image though I might use it in Historical Vehicle project that I will be working on in the future.
